a prayer for refugees.

Over a hundred people, mostly women and children were forced overboard as they were fleeing from Somalia to Yemen. I wish I could say this was a rare occurrence, but unfortunately it is not.

ALMIGHTY and merciful God,
whose Son became a refugee
and had no place to call his own;
look with mercy on those who today are fleeing from danger,
homeless and hungry.
Bless those who work to bring them relief;
inspire generosity and compassion in all our hearts;
and guide the nations of the world towards that day
when all will rejoice in your Kingdom of justice and of peace;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    I need a BCP or something, because there are some wonderful-type prayers in there.

    there are. It is one reason i fell in love with the episcopal church. that prayer, however, is not in there, but there are more on the website… it’s ANGLICAN!
